In Corona, California, 200 members of eight different faiths helped to landscape a local mosque.  Sponsored by the Corona-Norco Interfaith Association and spearheaded by the Corona stake Director of Public Affairs, the event has helped to build and strentghen interfaith relationships in and around Corona.

Approximately 770 Latter-day Saints joined 300 non-LDS volunteers to prepare Auckland, New Zealand, to host the Rugby World Cup.  Besides being an impressive volunteer effort, the communication between these councils during its quick organizaiton was a feat unto itself.

When Tupuola George Hunt was called onto the Samoa national public affairs council two years ago, there were a handful of newspaper and other media reports mentioning The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints each month. He got to work. He built relationships with media professionals, identified great stories, and placed them with newspapers and radio and television stations. Over the last two years the number of accurate media articles and stories has been increasing

This work is truly in the Lord's hands.  A regional director of public afairs was tasked with preparing a one-day, family history conference targeted towards leaders of immigrant populations in Ontario, Canada.  A rough start led to an event with meager expectations, but nonetheless, the event sparked the interest of the perfect opinion leader.
