Welcome to the wonderful world of Public Affairs. Though you won’t find the words Public Affairs in the scriptures, the principles of building good will and creating lasting friendships have been critically important to the Church from the beginning. The Church has public affairs directors in every corner of the globe. These seasoned men and women help priesthood leaders build the relationships with community, government, and faith leaders that allow us to pursue the mission of the Church. From working with government leaders for approvals on a new building, to fostering respectful interfaith dialog and answering questions from the media, public affairs forms a vital bridge between our congregations and the communities they call home.

Church Provides Preview of Historic Site Under Construction in Pennsylvania
Work is under way by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to renovate historic property located in Oakland Township in northern Pennsylvania's Susquehanna County.
Church Hosts Second General Women’s Meeting for Women and Girls
Hundreds of thousands of women, young women and girls 8 years old and older gathered around the world on Saturday, 27 September 2014, for the second general women’s meeting of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Women leaders of the Church’s worldwide auxiliary organizations hosted the meeting at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Church History Museum Closes for Interior Renovation
Thirty years after its opening, the Church History Museum on Temple Square in Salt Lake City will close on 6 October 2014, for one year to complete major interior renovations.
